UPDATE::: Extra tickets for EDCNY will be for sale for Saturday; Sunday and another day has been added. Friday May 18. Tickets for friday will cost 92$ (excluding tax) VIP: 158$ (excluding tax). They go on sale to the public on Thursday April 12 at 12pm.

The internet is exploding while Pasquale Rotella (The CEO of Insomniac @PasqualeRotella) tweets 140 characters per announcement. What is he saying? Lineups for both EDC Vegas and EDC NY! If you haven’t been on twitter, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? So far the lineups for both events looks promising. The Phase one lineup for EDC Vegas have people crying for tickets… and its just Phase one! Here is the video of the announcement.

Miami Music Week 2012

 On Wednesday, March 21 at noon EST dance music’s biggest names “kicked off” Miami Music Week with a soccer game at the Fontainebleau Hotel and Resort that matched Tiësto and Team Netherlands against Sebastian Ingrosso and Team Sweden. This highly competitive match went back and forth, but in the end, it was Tiësto and his Netherlands mates that hoisted the trophy with a 13-11 victory – but more importantly they earned the supreme bragging rights as DJ soccer champion. This year, they’ll also be showcasing their skills on the soccer field! On March 21 at noon EST, teams comprised of top talent representing the Netherlands and Sweden will face off for charity and the fight against AIDS.

You probably would not call them “DJ” since they produce songs more than the average mixing live. Deadmau5 feels offended if someone calls him “DJ.” To be well respected, you need to be more than just the average mix 2 songs together. You need to create songs and perform live. DJ Mag may not specify what do they mean by DJ but fans still voted in.
